I’m Mark Rubin. I have been a lawyer for almost 40 years. My primary practice areas have always included: business and real estate matters; probate, estate and incapacity planning (including trust and estate litigation); and ethics and professional responsibility aka the law of lawyering. (More recently, as part-time General Counsel for Pima Medical Institute - a private, allied health, vocational school - I have learned much about education law.) I have been in Tucson for 59+ years. I graduated from Beloit College and from the U of A College of Law. Presently, I'm delighted to be practicing with Leigh Bernstein - a terrific elder law lawyer - and Matthew Scarber, our very talented associate attorney.* Leigh and I are very blessed in so many ways! We share a great life together. We enjoy our work and play lives. We like watching Matt turn into a really good lawyer. We appreciate our staff people, who show up wanting to help. Best of all, in this mix, is the fact that we make an okay living serving others. We focus on trying to provide good advice and helping people: avoid problems, and solve them when it's too late to prevent them. *Leigh and I are also Licensed Fiduciaries (Nos 20544 and 20546, respectively). Through Southern Arizona Fiduciary Services LLC (No. 20850) we serve as trustees, conservators, and personal representatives.
